Purchasing A Puppy
Everyone wishing to purchase a puppy must complete our application, and upon review, agree to and sign our Breeder-Buyer Contract which details our expectations of the buyer as well as the guarantees provided by us. This page provides the basic information on what we expect from potential buyers and what you can expect from us.
People wishing to take home a pup must be familiar with or be willing to familiarize themselves with the breed. Not every breed of dog is right for every person. We want to make sure that your new puppy will be the perfect fit for your home. Information on the breed is provided on this site and through the links on the resources page. Additional information is available upon request and any questions you may have are welcomed. Email us
People wishing to take home a pup must be willing to communicate with us. We expect the people of all our puppy's potential new homes to answer any questions we might have about why they want a pup and what role the pup will play in their family, but we also expect them to ask us plenty of questions about our adult dogs and pups. Not only should we know that we are sending our pup to a good home, but you should also know that your pup is coming from one. Feel free to ask us any questions you have about how your pup is being raised before he comes to you. If you've already decided to get a puppy from us, you live close enough, and the litter has arrived, feel free to ask to come spend time with the pups. We hope that our relationship with you does not end the minute you leave with your new puppy, so it is vital to us that we are comfortable communicating with each other.
People wishing to take home a pup must be willing to adhere to a certain standard of care. The buyer must agree to take good care of the dog, feed and house the dog properly (indoors), maintain shots, and control the dog on a leash when in public (unless in a secure leash-free zone such as a dog park). If applicable, the dog's outdoor area should be fenced in and secured, or acceptable provisions will be made to assure the dog is safe any time he/she is outdoors. The buyer must agree to give the dog proper physical and emotional care through exercise, play, and love and attention. The buyer must agree to NOT use the dog for dog fighting, or promote aggressive tendencies in the dog; for any illegal or immoral activities, or for any type of puppymill, dog farm or other mass-producing or money-making operation.
Unless otherwise agreed, people wishing to take home a pup acknowledge that the dog is warranted only for the purpose of being a companion animal, not for any other purpose or reasons. No warranty is given for any special purpose or function of the dog. As such, the dog is to be spayed or neutered and used solely for the purpose of being a family pet. Those wishing to purchase a puppy for the purpose of showing or breeding must contact us directly to set forth separate agreements.
We believe that the parent dogs deserve as much love and respect as their puppies will receive in their new homes. Our dogs are a part of our family and experience every aspect of our family life. Our girl is spoiled during her pregnancy and pampered while she raise her puppies.
The pups are born in our puppy room where they are kept in a quiet, safe and warm environment. Once old enough, they are well-socialized with both people and other animals before going to their new homes.
We guarantee that the puppy is a purebred Shiba Inu. This dog will be permanently identified by microchip through Avid FreindChip, an animal recovery organization, prior to leaving for his/her new home.
We guarantee that the puppy will be in good health at the time of purchase, and will be furnished his immunization record and recommended diet.
We guarantee that any Hip or elbow dysplasia or pathological spinal disorder, if they occur, are covered for 1 year from date of purchase. The puppy has been tested and examined for many conditions to assure his health.
When you pick up your puppy, you will also receive: puppy pee pad, a gallon bag of puppy food, a can of wet food, the Avid FriendChip registration form, rebate forms for frontline and heartguard.
